born in 1985, coming from a small city in Poland. Her passion for theater started at an early age. She actively participated in youth theater groups, starring in many of the plays that went on to be presented at festivals.

Immediately after high school she moved to Krakow – her beloved city, where she continued to develop her artistic practice. In Krakow she graduated from university with a master degree in humanistic studies with the thesis about ´Theater of Absurd´ and completed numerous professional theater courses including pedagogical theater classes. The essential experience of creative work she gained through collaboration with many of Krakow theater institutions and independent artists. As an actress, she performed and improved her stage work in various theater produtions, not only as a freelancing artist, but also as a fixed repertoire actress. She also participated in independent art projects experimenting mostly with physical theater training methods. For many years Marcelina led theater workshops and acting courses.
As a trainer, she worked with young students implementing her program and preparing the final performances. She spent many years as the Head Coordinator and Art Manager at a cultural non profit organization called ´Magazyn Kultury´ based in Krakow. There she spent time organizing art projects (in collaboration with other artists and institutions) related to theater/performances, music, art exhibitions, international projects and workshops, poetry etc.).

In October 2014 she moved to Berlin, where she continues her development as an artist, theater trainer (Instant Theatre Berlin) and cultural manager (Plötzlich am Meer Festival). She runs theater workshops, performs as an independent artist, and works for art/music festivals in the production team. Her interest as an artist is to break the rules of typical dramatic theater by implementing physical theater´s methods to the stage work process. She also hopes to expand the sensual perception as an actor in the theater space. She strives to seek the sensitivity of our bodies, abolish our cultural habits and work from the mindfulness of the body. Simply, she focuses her energy on our bodily carnality. As an actress she enjoys working with movement, music, rhythm and acrobatic gestures. She practices physical theater methods, contact improvisation and contemporary dance.

Since moving to Berlin Marcelina has continuously worked with ´Tatwerk – Performative Forschung´ (a theater, dance and performance studio) in an ongoing collaborative relationship.
